Everything reaches one shared inbox at hello@soloterrapath.com, and a person answers within two business days - usually the writer whose part of the map your question is about. Corrections go into the queue ahead of everything else.
What to include
For a route question: the page you are reading, your dates, and where you start from. For a correction: the page, the line that is wrong, and what you saw yourself. A photograph of a timetable or a fare board settles an argument faster than any description, and it shortens the reply more than anything else.
Before you write
- Route questions: answered in order, two business days is normal, four around holidays.
- Corrections: checked with the operator within a week, then the page carries a dated note.
- Collaborations: a small number of transport and tourism projects each year, always marked in the text.
- Press: put the deadline in the first line and we will tell you straight away if it is possible.
What we can and cannot answer
We answer for routes we have walked, fares we have paid and the logistics around them: transfers, border hours, opening seasons, the walk from the station to the first bed. We do not answer for hotels we have never stayed in, visas we have not filed ourselves, or anything we would have to look up exactly the way you can. When a question needs local knowledge we lack, the first reply says so plainly and points somewhere better, instead of sending you round in a circle.
Unsure which page a question belongs to? Start at the Start Here page, pick the section that matches, and write from there - half the useful questions arrive that way.
